A Radon Risk Report can be completed on any home or small workplace in Great Britain with a valid postcode. For buildings larger than 25 metres and plots of land please contact BGS. If you do not know the postcode of the property, you can find it on the Post Office website.Risk reports are also available for addresses in Northern Ireland and any plot of land with grid references. If you have the grid references of a property of plot of land in Northern Ireland you can obtain the same information you will receive within a Radon Risk Report by looking up the grid reference within the relevant Affected Area report for Northern Ireland.A Radon Risk Report will tell you the estimated probability that this particular address or an address to be built on a plot of land is above the Action Level for radon, but the only way to find out whether a property is above or below the Action Level is to carry out a radon measurement. This information also provides an answer to one of the standard legal enquiries on house purchase in England and Wales, known as CON29 Standard Enquiry of Local Authority; 3.13 Radon Gas: Location of the Property in a Radon Affected Area.
